Hyderabad Nov 8:19th International Children Film Festival to commence at Shilpakala Vedika on Nov 14 will be celebrated in a prestigious manner as Telangana Government declared a state festival to culminate at the same venue on Nov 20. for the first time conducting the event and 200 films out of 1204 selected will be screened in other eight districts. CFSI, CEO and festival Director, Sravan Kumar, Information Commissioner and Convener of the event Naveen Mittal and Tourism special officer Kishan Rao told a media conference here that Telangana Government declare the event a state festival with golden elephant symbol. The festival will formally commence at Shilpakala Vedika on Nov 14 and conclude at the same venue on 20. Elaborate arrangements have been made to conduct the festivities in a fantastic manner and DEOs will coordinate to provide better transport facility, snacks and water for watching the films at various theatres. Organising committee headed by chief secretary Dr Rajiv Sharma set up 10 sub committees for the smooth and successful conduct of the event and online digital passes are being issued for delegates, students and others and a separate app is available to watch the selected films online through You Tube. The jury decided to screen the films for deaf and dumb and other disabled children at Saroornagar and Saidabad they said. To enable the children of nook and corner in the districts and Collectors concerned will monitor the event. Out of 1204 films, 20 films from Hyderabad including a Telugu film “Aditya”, a short film on former President Abdul Kalam, 50 film entries sent by 40 Embassies and 37 films from 7 countries of little directors will be screened. All facilities and accommodation for about 600 delegates from 80 countries is being made at Park Hotel and a Media Centre from there will cover the events. They said that the international films screening at the theatres will enable the students get exposure and knowledge of global geographies. The festivities are jointly being conducted by CFSI Mumbai, Centre and State Governments in coordination with culture, tourism, transport, police and other wings with fool proof security. The officials added that noted Telugu heroes such as Allu Arju and Rana and other top Bollywood actors are to attend the event. They said that Telangana Government plans to make Hyderabad a permanent destination and land was allotted to for a film institute on world standards. A plan is on to help the children get into activities of films. Apart from cultural programs and films will be screened at Ravindra Bharathi and workshops and seminars will be conducted at Jawahar Bal Bhavan from Nov 15 to 19 they said. The Jury selected following theatres to screen the films in Hyderabad and Ranga Reddy– Prasad Multiplex – 1,2,3 screens, Hi-tech, Madhapur, Ranga at Jeedimetla,Prashanth at Secunderabad, Eshwar at Attapur, Sivaparvathi at Kukatpally Housing Board, Cineopolis at Malkajgiri 1 and 2 screens, Sri Rama at Bahadurpura, Indira Priyadarshini Auditorium and Hariharakala Bhavan.
