ISIS militants beheaded 21 Egyptian copts

Islamic State group militants have released a gruesome video of beheading of 21 Egyptian Copts held in captivity in Libya. Egypt confirmed the death of hostages and announced a week of mourning. President Abdel-Fattah El-Sisi said Egypt reserves its right to retaliate at a suitable time and place. Egyptian President yesterday announced seven days of mourning for the deceased citizens and called an urgent meeting of Egypt's top military commanders. The five minute long graphic video, titled “A message signed with blood to the nation of the cross,” has been posted online by the terror outfit. It shows grisly footage of 21 Egyptian Copts being beheaded by their captors on a seashore of Libyan capital Tripoli.

The video shows militants in black uniform marching the hostages who are dressed in orange suits, to a beach. And then they were forced down onto their knees and beheaded. The English speaking terrorist gives a reference to Osama bin Laden and the video ends with a shot of sea water mixed with blood. The Twenty-one Coptic workers, mostly from impoverished villages in Upper Egypt, were kidnapped between late December and early January in the Libyan city of Sirte. Islamic state group had said the kidnapping was to avenge the fate of Muslim women tortured and murdered by the Coptic church of Egypt.
