Continuing the tradition he started four years ago of divulging the assets and liabilities of himself and that of his family members, Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu disclosed their status as on March 31, 2014, which he said will be submitted to Ethics Committee.Stating that his assets have more or less remained the same as it was in March 2013, Naidu said as on March 31, they stand at ` 70.69 lakh. However, there was no mention of any liabilities.In case of his wife Bhuvaneswari, the total assets stood at ` 46.88 crore and total liabilities stood at ` 16.28 crore. The net assets were ` 30.59 crore. He also divulged the assets and liabilities of his son N Lokesh, daughter-in-law N Brahmani, their companies Nirvana Holdings Private Limited and Heritage Foods Limited.
He heaped praises over the management of Heritage, which has grown from strength to strength in last 22 years following principles and ethics, he implemented as its mentor during first couple of years.'When business is done properly, it will help the people at large', he said while insisting on systematic work discipline among individually as well as the party as a whole. He said it was he who had introduced the concept of Ethics Committee and started divulging assets in 1999, which was later picked up by Central government and Election Commission of India during 2004.However, the values of the personal assets disclosed by the AP Chief Minister were acquisition costs and not the present market values. It was said in the note given to media on the occasion that the market values differ from time to time, hence they were not indicated.YSR Congress Party official spokesperson Ambati Rambabu called this statement a bluff. Naidu yet to disclose his `illegal assets’, he maintained.
