Communications and Information Technology Minister Ravi Shankar Prasad said that e- commerce and e-manufacturing have enormous potential to boost growth and job opportunity in the country. Speaking at the 10th National summit on e-governance and Digital India in New Delhi today, Mr Prasad said, the government will give proper enabling platform to people for broadband connectivity.He said, government is very serious to promote e-manufacturing and e-clusters which will help generate 2 crore jobs in the near future. He also said that every year, India imports around one billion dollars of electronic manufacturing goods and by 2020 it will reach $ 400 billion. Minister also emphasized on setting up e- clusters in the country and said, many state governments are very keen to build such clusters. The Minister will launch first e -cluster in Madhya Pradesh next month.
