Arundhati Roy against involved in another row with Kerala Gandhians

Brooker prize-winner author Arundhati Roy seems to be fascinated in involving her selves controversies and attracting uproar against her from various sections. This time it were Gandhinas who are up in arms against her in Kerala for her derogatory remaks on the Father of Natin.
While making a speech at the Mahatma Gandhi University she had criticized the  Mahathma for his "casteist tendencies". She was delivering a lecture in honour of Kerala's 19th century Dalit liberation leader Ayyankali. In her speech Roy had also  said,  it was time institutions named after the Father of the Nation were renamed.
Taking strong objections on her remarks poet and activist Sugathakumari said “"Gandhi knew the culture and roots of India in all its depth and it is unfortunate that Arundhati Roy has made this statement for cheap publicity.”
JM Rahim from Centre for Gandhian Studies also reacted harsh against Roy. "To quote Gandhi out of context and say he was casteist is not only superficial but also shows Roy hasn't understood his philosophy. In South Africa, for instance, a Tamil Dalit family afflicted with leprosy stayed in his ashram despite the objections of the inmates," he said in a statement.
To protest and condemn against Roy’s comments on Mahathma Gandhi members of a Gandhian forum have sent a copy of Mahatma's autobiography "My experiments with truth" to  her.
The members of the, Mahatma Gandhi National Foundation, has posted the book to Roy from a post office at Pala in Kottayam district. Tthe Foundation further urged the authorities to book  Roy for denigrating the  publicly the father of our nation .
"What eminence Roy has got to make a sweeping judgement on Gandhi? This amounts to denigration of national icons who sacrificed their lives for the country. So, she should be booked for sedition",  said Jose, Chairman of the Foundation  said in a statement.
