The newly-elected JD(U) Legislature Party leader of Nitish group in the assembly, Vijay Kumar Choudhary, has sought the main opposition status in the House on the basis of having the support of more MLAs than the BJP's 87. Meanwhile, BJP has decided to move court if Speaker gives recognition to the ruling JD(U) as the main opposition party in the Vidhan Sabha.
Meanwhile, Mr Manjhi met Governor Keshari Nath Tripathi and Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh in Delhi yesterday. Several political parties including JD(U), RJD, Congress and CPI have accused Bihar Governor and the BJP for political instability in the state.
