Popular film writer Ganesh Patro passed away this morning in Chennai after prolonged illness. He was suffering from cancer and was admitted at a private hospital in Chennai a couple of days ago.
Ganesh Pathro hails from Parvatipuram in Vizianagaram district of AP. He was very much known for his realistic portrayal of the characters. He was popular for his work in association with legendary director late K Balachander for classics like Maro Charitra, Rudraveena, Idi Katha Kaadu.
He started his career in 1965, and wrote dialogues and stories for Telugu films from the 1970s up to the 1990s. After working for Nagarjuna starrer Nirnayam, Ganesh has got a huge gap of 10 years in the career.Later he made come back with Mahesh Babu & Venkatesh's multi-starrer SVSC. He worked as co-writer for the film and penned beautiful dialogues for Prakash Raj character in the movie.
