Modi reached Varanasi to adopt a village


Prime Minister Narendra Modi has reached at Varanasi on a two-day visit. It is his first visit to his Lok Sabha constituency after assuming power. He was welcomed by the State governor Ram Naik and the Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav at Babatpur airport on his arrival. 

The Prime Minister will be laying foundation stone of a trade facilitation centre and a crafts museum at Lalpur village under Sindhora block of the district. The project is aimed at uplifting the weavers of Varanasi and adjoining districts. He will also interact with weavers during the function. Mr. Modi will also adopt Jayapur village under the Sansad Adarsh Gram Yojana, MPs' model village scheme, under Sewapuri assembly segment of his parliamentary constituency. 

He will be meeting with villagers during function organised on the occasion at the village. Post lunch Prime Minister will be meeting general public at his Public Relation Office of his constituency and party workers. Before concluding his first day schedules he will interact with prominent citizens and intellectuals of the city at a hotel. Prime Minister will wrap up his two day tour tomorrow visiting the Maa Anand Mayi Ashram and hospital. Massive security arrangements are in place in the ancient temple town in view of PM's visit.
