The party approached the court on the issue.

BJP has welcomed the Calcutta High Court's order. Talking to reporters in New Delhi, BJP Secretary Shrikant Sharma accused the Mamta Banerjee government of behaving undemocratically by not giving permission to hold the rally. He said that the state government has failed to fulfill the promises made to the people.Sharma alleged that the TMC is trying to divert the attention of people from the chit fund scam in the state by protesting on the issues like black money in Parliament. Meanwhile the West Bengal government is considering to move before the Division bench against the Single bench court order.
