Opposition demand immediately to convene Telangana assembly

The purported decision of the State government to hold Telangana Assembly session after Deepavali festival has drawn flak from opposition political parties. The opposition leaders alleged that Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao was scared to holding the Assembly session as the opposition would expose his failure to fulfill poll promises made by TRS party. The leaders demanded the state government to immediately convene the assembly as the entire state was fraught with many problems. TPCC President Ponnala Lakshmaiah alleged that KCR was buying time to hold the Assembly session in the name of task forces and innovative budget. He asked the CM whether he was going present a budget which no other government, country or state of the world presented so far. He demanded KCR to call the assembly session immediately to discuss all public problems.

TDP senior leader and two-time MLA from Rajendranagar assembly constituency T Prakash Goud alleged that the Chief Minister was biding time as he was clueless about what to do after making tall poll promises. Adding that there was a lot of delay in implementation of the poll promises, he alleged that the people of the state had now realized that they committed a mistake by electing the TRS government. BJP floor leader Dr K Lakshman said that many issues require a detailed discussion on the floor of the house. He too demanded the Chief Minister to immediately convene the assembly session for discussing all public problems. Adding that he recently met Governor ESL Narasimhan with a request to direct the state government for convening the assembly session, Laxman said that the party would take up similar steps in coming days if the state continues to avoid the session.
