Urban India sway away from carbonated sugary drinks towards more healthy beverages, and Coca-Cola India on Friday launched another sugar-free soft drink Coca-Cola Zero to bolster its portfolio.On the back of sliding sales of carbonated drinks and diet colas across markets including US and Mexico. Ramesh Chauhan, chairman of Bisleri and the man credited with the creation of cult brands like Thums-Up and Limca (both now with Coca-Cola), recently said that colas have a bleak future.
Coke Zero follows the launch of Maaza Milky Delite another 'healthy' beverage in Punjab and Kolkata by Coca-Cola.Zero is available in 300 ml slim cans, 400 ml PET bottles and 600 ml PET at the same price points as regular Coca-Cola (for instance in Delhi, the MRP of a 300 ml can will be Rs 30, while that of a 600 ml PET will be Rs 35). It will be first made available in the top 100 towns in India and will also be retailed on Amazon India.With the launch of Coca-Cola Zero in India, the brand is now available in all the top six markets of The Coca-Cola Company, including US, Mexico, China, Brazil, Japan and India.
