Imran Khan, Tahirul Qadri camping outside Pak Parliament with thousands of suppoerters


Pakistan Opposition leader and Tehreek -i-Insaf chief Imran Khan and cleric Tahirul Qadri have reached with thousands of their supporters at Constitution Avenue of Islamabad and are camping outside the Parliament. They have planned to stage a sit-in in an open ground in front of the Parliament building.The protesters demanded resignation of Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif by this evening. Police baton-charged the protesters as they neared the Parliament. After minor initial skirmishes, police did not put up a stern resistance and slowly retreated as part of policy to avoid violence.The protesters of Khan and Qadri started the march separately but later were moving towards the Parliament together.Information Minister Pervaiz Rashid told a TV channel that the marchers have violated a written commitment that they will not enter the Red Zone where political and diplomatic enclaves are situated .

Meanwhile, Prime Minister Sharif has said he will not resign under any circumstance. Latest reports said, Sharif is present inside the official residence in the Red Zone along with senior leaders of his ruling PML-N party.Quoting official sources Geo TV said that the Pakistan Prime Minister held a high level meeting to discuss the emerging situation. It said that more security personnel has been deployed around the Prime Minister's residence and the army has moved to the Red Zone.While addressing protesters outside parliament,Imran Khan has said that Nawaz Sharif will have to go. He said that he had a new plan if Nawaz Sharif did not resign before the deadline. He vowed to bring real democracy in the country and asked police not to obey illegal orders.Pakistan Awami Tehrik -PAT Chief Tahirul Qadri has said that their only demand is the resignation of the Sharif brothers. Addressing the marchers outside Parliament House, Qadri said that PAT would not invite the army to mediate. He said that the federal government was responsible for the Model Town Massacre as well as the Punjab government.
