The Confederation of Indian Industry and the Directorate General of Resettlement (DGR) are jointly organizing a National Cororate Conclave 2014 at Manekshaw Center, New Delhi on “ESM in Nation Building- Hand in Hand with Corporate India” on Aug 19. Union Defence, Finance and Corporate Affairs minister Arun Jaitley will be the Chief Delhi Cantt, New Delhi. CII Deputy Director General Sujith Haridas says this Conclave, with the participation of senior officials from the Armed Forces, Ministry of Defence and senior Industry Representatives will deliberate about the role of Ex-Servicemen (ESM) in the Nation building, hand-in-hand with Corporate India.
The Conclave aims to create awareness among the corporate sector about the availability of a vast multitude of experienced veterans of the Services who possess attributes and skills of a highly refined quality, for placement in the Industry.The Defence Services have always been a source of highly trained and educated manpower for the Industry. Today, many major corporates have absorbed huge numbers of defence personnel after their retirement. Opening up of defence production to the private sector by the Government of India has further added demand for the retired service personnel.
